2018 Project 52 by billtils, first quarter, week 3

Managed to get out with the camera towards the end of the somewhat snowy week, with the aim of exploring "blue snow". It turned out to be far too bright to really produce the blue I wanted but there is undoubtedly a blue cast showing.

    Here is the edited version:

And finally one that is not a snow scene in itself but where I think that the snow adds to the composition.

    C&C (and advice!) welcome.

Beautiful landscape pictures. The third one of the barn with the woods in the distance is the most interesting to me. As I do with a lot of the photos that I see, I envision myself in the scene! I'd love to be able to ramble through the old barn and then over the hill and off to the grove of trees.

I like the edited version of your first pic. There is less shadow in it. It is a peaceful scene but it is the second that I favor most!

    Thanks John and Sandy.

Sandy - I agree completely with your assessment of the scenes. The first two were the best shot I could get on a short trip out, with the aim of getting something in the bag that would let me play around with colour casts on snow. The third is one I've had in mind for some time and is the exact opposite of the other - it's a scene I like that just happened to have snow in it - and no blue cast!
