Thanks Manfred. I will look again at these points and make adjustments. Your input greatly appreciated.

Hope you are having fun!
Thanks Judith. Appreciate your input.

I have made some adjustments: Cropped a little from the top, re checked black point and white point, slight increase in exposure & adjusted the haze

Hi Joe - I like the work you've done with the B/W version but I have to say that when I flipped back through the presentations of this scene, I found myself enjoying the one in color (Post #19) the best. It just seems dynamic the way you have it there. :)

I like this version a lot better than your original posting.

Thanks Sandy. The reason I went B&W was to try out a feature of Photoshop. I was trying it regardless. But I too like the coloured version. Thanks Sandy. Your comments always encourage me to keep trying.

Re: 2018 Project 52, First Quarter, by Joe Small (Joebranko)
I finally got out to take some pictures. After not posting for so long, I forgot how!! Finally figured it out using Flickr.
This is the Grist Mill in St.Catharines, Ontario. Morningstar Mill is a rural industrial heritage site owned by the City of St. Catharines and operated in partnership with the Friends of Morningstar Mill. It features a working grist mill rebuilt in 1872, and the home of the Morningstar family restored up to 1933.

Nice shot in a somewhat challenging location.
I visited there last summer and struggled to get a good shot because of the location and setting; we were staying at a B&B just up the road from the mill. The mosquitoes seemed to enjoy me feeding them as I was out shooting during evening "golden hour" and "blue hour".
One suggestion would be to shoot even wider in order to get a bit more foreground (there were some reeds there when I was shooting) and to get either the whole old or new mill building into the shot.

Lovely shot - quite a contrast to the earlier ones. +1 to what Manfred says, and also crop or clone out the distractions at the very bottom of the image as framed here.
FWIW, I have been using flickr to "post" images here for some time now. It's way more reliable than tinypic and is much simpler.

Thanks Manfred. I plan to return and take this shot again, with a wider composition.

Just to hijack your thread, here are two I got at this site. The light was nicer while I was there, I think.
