nice sky! Consider whether the world was askew--(Quite likely) or if you need a tiny horizontal correction!

Confederation Park, Hamilton - Interesting that the water is picking up the color from the trees! Nicely done! :)

Not withstanding that the world is askew, I had a lot of difficulty with the horizontal on this shot. I remember that the far Bank of this pond is curved and kept going back and forth with the levelling. Short answer.....I don't know 🤔

I think it's reflection from all the trees

One thing to keep as a touch point is that the bottom of some clouds tend to be flat and horizontal because of adiabatic processes

I often use the cloud bottoms as my check on horizontal levelness. I think it would work with your image

These pics are from the Jordan Valley, a favorite spot for kayakers in this area. The wind was quite high giving the kayakers a lot of trouble fighting the wind.

Tricky looking sky there, Joe, but you have managed to keep it looking good without anything clipping in either direction.

Your kayak shots are good! Crisp and clear. No glare from the water. The colorful kayaks add interest to your photos! :)

Some pics from Cootes Paradise;
Quiet waterway. Some cloning to get rid of bridge and highway sign in background.

They work fine, Joe; and a nice sense of perspective in the third image.

Hi Joe - Good work on cloning the bridge and sign out. :) It can be tedious work but well worth it when the photo turns out the way you want it too. :)
I agree with Geoff - All are good but #3 - "Runner enjoying quiet evening" is well done! :)

Re: 2018 Project 52, First Quarter, by Joe Small (Joebranko)
Thanks Geoff. I learned that from your shots

I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
From up and down
but still somehow
Its clouds illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all: :)

Re: 2018 Project 52, First Quarter, by Joe Small (Joebranko)
Second image works well, Joe.
With the first one, you just have to accept what is available and click your shutter when the action is in the required place with this sort of situation, but I wonder about a little bit of crop and clone to get rid of the seriously out of focus foliage in the bottom and right side?

Thanks Geoff. I have corrected that. I also could have used 'continuous' and chose the best shot after.
