Nice capture of the scene and lighting.
+1
I love the subtle changes of tone and lighting caused by the changes in direct light and shadow. I think you got the horizon in a great spot to get the balance right!
Hi Joe! A good shot! I like the rocks peeking out of the snow and the way you have the scene set up, it makes me want to see what is on the topside of the ridge! I trust you were standing on a path rather than trying to climb upward!
Is the "additional shot from the same area" picture a newly planted grove of trees? There seems to be quite a bit of down limbs, etc. within the grove.
Both photos are crisp, clear and interesting! Looks cold! Brrr.
great shots
Hi Joe,
Don't remember your level of editing preferences, some like SOOC, but I would try to lighten the shadows on the photographer's clothing just to give it a livelier look and separate her a bit from the trees. Nice set.
This is a great idea. Nice concept and an interesting way to capture shapes of trees.I decided to utilize the puddles for some reflections and here are some of my efforts:
Niagara Falls:
Despite rain and grey skies we went to Niagara Falls on Monday.
These shots were taken using my Tokina 11-16 wide angle lens. I wanted to see how much of the falls I could capture from the Canadian side and shooting across. The heavy mist had other ideas.
This next shot has the falls as a background with a small tree in the foreground apparently clinging to life. In fact it has been clinging to the rocks on the edge of the falls for years.
Nice reflections shots in post #14.
