Interesting photograph. Did you use or post process with HDR?

Pan at 1/160 in very low light - sun just cracked the horizon.

I really like this for a bunch of reasons. You have caught the movement of the birds in flight, you have their reflections on the water, and the pattern of the water in itself is really great. Kudos!!!

    Ditto to trev’s comments.
I would only say the birds are a bit soft, but maybe intentional?
The pattern in the water is pretty cool.

    You should see my attempts!

(iow: I know how difficult this is)

OK, I cracked, I gotta ask Chris,
Is that four birds in one shot or one bird in four shots?

Four in one . These are exceptionally fast birds and in this shot were probably clipping along at 40 MPH +. They are a tad soft, but given the light, the speed and the low shutter speed, I think I did pretty well.

Oh absolutely. Way better than I could ever accomplish . Wasn’t intending to criticize only point out positives and somewhat negatives that my untrained eyes see with a wonderful photograph. It’s how I learn.
