    BIF: Clipped Wing Problem Solved

Just crop it and say it was deliberate

Went to Ontario this past week in search of snowy owls. There were a few around. Recommend viewing in the light box.

It works, a tighter crop would work just as well.

Excellent capture. Bit of a drive (?) and I am glad you were successful

I feel ripped off that I get to endure six months of winter and nary a snowy owl to be seen. Maybe see one every five years or so.

Glad you folks enjoyed the shot. Had a productive shoot but earned every one of them. The conditions were pretty challenging for photography. But it made for plenty of variety so it's all good.

Trevor, we're spending the winter in South Carolina so I flew to Montreal and only had to drive 100km from there. And sorry but no sympathy here. I've been in AK where the snowies breed for 18 years and never laid eyes on one until this past week. Had to travel all the way to Ontario for them. I took it as a good sign there was one sitting on a phone pole in front of the B/B when arrived

Re: BIF: Clipped Wing Problem Solved

Thanks for commenting, folks, and glad you enjoyed the photo. This one was shot in pretty good conditions. I just posted this thread with some shots taken under more challenging conditions.
