Willow and bulrushes
I was driving around in the snow scouting out a new area when I came across this. The weather and road conditions were really bad. However I am pretty comfortable driving in poor conditions, emergency veterinary calls happen wind, rain or snow and so driving 80 kilometres in a snowstorm is not alien territory. I actually planned to go out in the snow as I looking for stuff like this
I had to stop in the middle of the road to shoot this, however I was the only one insane enough to be out there so it was quite safe. Saw one other vehicle in two hours of driving on the back roads.

A lovely high-key image.
A wonderful example of 'less-is-more'. A deceptively simple image, but yet says so much.
I was doing the same last week in Caithness and Sutherland, which is at the far north of Scotland. And I do think the images are worth it (watch this space).

Who knew a little bit of scrub could look so good. Perhaps only those who have experienced the conditions will appreciate it. I do. Nicely done.
