I guess that all was not lost...

I had a hard time the other night shooting the moon as it rose over the City of San Diego. I wanted both the moon and the skyline with some detail but, my problem was that the clamp that attached to the call of my Giottos MH1300 tripod head was so loose that it was rattling around and couldn't hold my camera steady for the HDR shots that I wanted. Giottos supplies a tool kit with three Allen wrenches in it but, none of them would fit the screw that holds the clamp onto the ball. I didn't get anything worthwhile after dark.

I was playing around shooting some shots of the skyline at golden hour. There was enough light that I could use a fast enough shutter speed so that he images were pretty sharp.

Anyhow, these are a few of the results from the Golden Hour...

That's a real shame about the clamp Richard. I think you've solved your problem nicely with that little wrench set in your other post though.
I tend to stay away from wrenches when I'm working with my cameras. I always tend to get very dirty when using them and I don't like dirt around my cameras. I guess it's a car guy type of thing.
