Projection with a whale vertebrae
This is almost a traditional approach when using a digital projector and a subject. Here I used a piece of white seamless paper to act as a screen and had the model sit on a box with her back towards me. My camera was on a tripod that was parallel to the projector's lens and positioned just above it to minimize the size of the shadow that the model cast on the screen. The projector was focused on the model's back.
The image that I used is a closeup of a whale vertebrae.

Re: Projection with a whale vertebrae
The overlays of projected image, model, and shadow are downright disorienting. Crazy stuff.

That is mesmerising .... and imaginative. So well posed. Great idea. And so well photographed.
