I think that Sarah has been blasted with a firehose of good advice! I think that there is a wave of concern for her - I've even sent her a friendly PM. What's interesting is hearing everyone's experiences and, in a roundabout way, finding out more about you all. This has been a very interesting thread to read, the past week or so.
Kay, you mentioned needing to be diplomatic and aware through all sorts of family situations during a wedding. Well, one more little story from my wedding, 16 yrs ago. Tom's dad was dressed rather informally. Tom's mom's husband (Mark) was dressed very smartly in a suit and tie. After about five minutes of photos with Tom and Mark, Mark leaned over and whispered, "I think that he thinks I'm your dad." They both gave a stiff grin and, snap, the photo was taken. That's the one that was given to us. You can just see it in both of their faces and it makes us laugh over and over again. Of course, they did make it clear to the photographer and got the proper photo. I'm not sure how he was supposed to just magically know.
