Two comments:
1. The smiles on both parties' faces shows the joy that is shared here. You both do a very valuable social service.
2. It is sad but true that one cannot take a photo of a child for fear of the consequences. Even if that is fleeting, it is great we got to see that face light up.

Not a technically perfect photograph by any means.
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Nice shot.
All three of you are certainly blessed.
Sharon, you have made my day.
Cheers Ole
Sharon, as you say it is not technically perfect. But, it is perfect in capturing what is a very special and heartfelt moment.
Thank you John, PD, Ole and Rita.
we will certainly have our work cut out for us, but if we can break that cycle ... that's what it's about. Giving this little guy a chance.
to me a great photo is a photo that reaches out and grabs me emotionally. Yours is a great photo. Just blur the face.
Thank you Brian.
If I had my "real" camera I would have probably done a better job. But his laughter and smile meant I needed to capture it somehow.
We all ARE the movement for these kiddos. Lots of hard work but if the cycle of trauma is broken, it is so so worth the fight.
