This small single rose bloom (40 mm across) has been in my garden for nearly two weeks through rain, wind and a little bit of frost. Much too early but here it is.
7D with Tamron 24-70 lens. A merge of 3 focus points with a tripod; attempting to shoot one handed while holding a Lastolite Difflector with the other hand.

Very nice looking flower for so early in the season. Shows real skills in making the photo that I am just beginning to see.
