    Frosty Fargo

This truck was parked about 100 metres from the road. I did not know the land owner so I could not get closer Ended up using a 70-200 mm zoom with a 2X extender, even then I had to crop the image to get a decent composition.

Nicely captured, is the caption a nod to the town?

I thought about that interpretation, alas it is merely a nod to the name of the truck (on the hood).

I wonder if the Fargo is a rebadged Canadian version of a U.S. Dodge. The body shape, hood [bonnet] and grill treatment sure look like a mid 1940's Dodge light truck.

Great image, though. Another one of yours, Trevor, that I like.

    Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely right They were sold as Fargo trucks at Dodge dealers. I have no idea why they were called a different name on this side of the border.

Trevor I really like this image - the tones and colours combine with the layout to produce a very pleasing balance and really enhance the truck in its surroundings.

Learned two things from this one. The insanely shallow depth of field works out to be effective. Sometimes desaturating the colour is the best option.

Dodge isn't the only one. The Ford Mercury models were re-badged and sold in Canada. Ford even re-badged some trucks for sale in Canada. It was a marketing decision by Ford to separate the similar Ford and Mercury models in the U.S.

And you left the window open, anyone could steal it.
Must be less crime in San Diego than Silver Valley, Alberta (population 0: postal mail box site, community hall and an elementary school only).
