Books on Photoshop

I have been reading Guy Tal's "The landscape Photographer's - guide to Photoshop" as well as his other book with great pleasure.
On the former I have been learning and learning a lot.
I know that I could ask this question on the web where perhaps 1 trillion answer would pop, but I prefer to address to you all. And my question is:

Which book should I get to learn Photoshop ? Doesn't need to be very deep. It should be soft, so to say.
I will not be neither an expert in CC nor a complete newbie... just to learn easily but with consistency.

No, I a not interested in e-versions. Most of the time I do not even look at what I buy this way. It is a complete waste of money.

If you want to have a good solid book to learn Photoshop, I would highly recommend Adobe Press "Adobe Photoshop CC Classroom in a Book (2018 edition). This is the book I bought when I first started using Photoshop CS back in 2003. It provides a very good base and includes lesson files in the softcover book version.

Something you might find useful is this 4-page reference. Parts of it are very basic, but I think it is a useful reference. I find that Photoshop is so complex that I often forget how to access techniques that I have used before. This gives a short description of lots of basic things, and it lists 60 or 70 keyboard shortcuts.

Thank you Dan. I tend to work under a certain routine of commands. However, I am always opened to innovations and creativity.

Just my two cents worth. PixImperfect is easy to follow. Serge Ramelli less so but very capable.

I can second the recommendation for Phlearn... They are the only one that I am subscribed to, although I do regularly use other videos...

I will try the other two recommendations myself, so thanks for sharing.

Anything by Dan Margulis

Dan is very knowledgeable but not an easy read. The other issue I have with Dan is that we live through him developing his thoughts on the subject, so skipping his first two books and jumping straight to his third (2nd edition) moves the reader closest to his current views.

One issue with Dan is that he is not a photographer, but rather someone who spent years in the printing industry, so his views are very much based on getting images ready for print.
