    Jenny - Fitness Model 3

My third (and final?) post of a shot of Jenny a fitness model that I shot yesterday.

The interesting thing about shooting a competitive fitness model is that for her, the shoot started three days before she stepped into the studio. She changed her diet, including her fluid intake to make sure she had the right body and muscle tone for the shoot. She warmed up for around 10 - 15 minutes before she stepped in front of the camera. The only food she used during the shoot were some plain candy to keep up her energy level.

In this posting I'm going to continue to show the image I made as well as a 3D rendering of the lighting setup that I used. The studio is a converted raquetball court, so it is large and has high ceilings.

The lighting setup was a gridded strip box hung from a boom stand above the model and a background light with a reflector and blue gel was pointed at a gray wall. The strip box was adjusted to ensure that the upper body muscle tone was accentuated.

Really find the 3D set up very interesting as it allows you to really see how you got the effect for your image.

I am not shooting 'models' like yours, nevertheless I also find your 3D setups very interesting. There is always something to learn !! Thanks for posting.
