    1. Does your new camera use the same battery as your present camera - if so, perhaps B&H could ship the camera without battery...

    2. Can you order and receive batteries form a Chinese source such as in H.K.? If yes - perhaps B&H could ship the camera without...

Usually B&H are good. But they are messing up on me this time big time.

I have suggested removing the battery and their expert says they can't open the box to remove it.

When I emailed to a higher up manager they never replied.

They are still sending me quotas and instruction on how to purchase a product they won't ship to me.

When they mess up they really mess up.

    Probably ($50), B&H: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...ount_dslr.html

I believe that adapter has glass (a lens) which may or may not effect image quality. I doubt the small difference (0.5mm) in flange to sensor distance between a Canon EF and a Sony A is enough for a no-glass adapter. A straight through adapter should be possible for the Sony A to Canon EF-M mount if you care for a mirrorless Canon. Sony A to Canon EF-M ($53): https://www.kentfaith.com/KF06.158_m...-mount-adapter

There is a used A58 (PHP 25000) for sale on QLX: https://www.olx.ph/all-results?q=sony+a58

KEH has a used Sony A6000 in Ex condition: ($418): https://www.keh.com/shop/sony-a6000-...-p-674464.html , but you will need an adapter from Sony A to Sony E. Here is a link to a web site with lots of information on adapters for Sony E mount cameras. Those may open up a new world of potential lenses (used or new) for a Sony E mount camera. Sony makes (or made) a couple of A to E adapters, the LA-EA4 and the LA-EA3. Here is link to a video to learn the difference between them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvdQkiMqz5s
    Both Sony A-to-E adapters are available from B&H, the LA-EA4 ($300): https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...ount_lens.html and the LA-EA3 ($150): https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...ount_lens.html

KEH may be willing to remove the battery if it causes trouble with shipping.
