    Mini Competition No. 136

    Here's how it works ...

    - You good folks post images in the thread (please change your post title to a name for your picture)

    - When we get 10 images we will attach a voting poll

    - After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

    - If you would especially like some critique after the competition poll closes, please make it known in the post

    Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread in this forum

    Phoenix Lock

This is a shot that I took two images of: one where the sky was in proper exposure, and one where the water was in proper exposure. The problem here was the fact that I did not use a tripod, all in all, I think it came out ok.

The trouble with linking to Flicker or any off-site server is that if you change or remove the picture the image here goes away too. I didn't think of that but it is logical of course -- watch out!

    In the back garden

    Hi
I've been doing stuff at night in the back garden over the past few weeks!

This is one I did earlier tonight (15/10).

Hey Rob, that map is pretty interesting. I geotag all my photos and save them in Google Earth for my own interest but I would like to know how you did the location map for your CIC post. It is really interesting to be able to see where individual photos were taken. I hope some of the other contributors will do the same. Great photo, by the way.

This is very nice, Rob. Technically, artistically, you've got the goods. Accolades, good on ya!

Thanks, David. I took this while waiting (sound of drumming fingers on the side of the camera) for my dearly beloved to hunt through her rucsac (girlies and bags) for the supplies of emergency fruit-cake. You just can't get decent photography assistants these days.

There are some good entries, apart from mine, in this comp. The standard seems to be improving!

For those of us who do not speak Welsh, "Da delw" loosely translates to "good picture." I had to look it up. Delw: what is beyond or past motion; a statue; an image; an idol; semblance, form or manner.

The Google translator says "da delw" = "good likeness." Nice picture = "llun neis." And, if you want to speak Malay, "good likeness" is "gambar bagus," but the Welsh to Malay translation is "nice foto!"

I'm pulling your leg, Mick. I know where Rob is from, or is.
