Pastel (better at full size)

As I await the arrival of the new camera I work on my studio skills. A small antique glass jar filled with air bubbles is held on a polished pale green stone hand built to hold a cell phone. Backed by pale burnt orange.

ISO 100 ~ Shutter Exposure Thirty (30) Seconds ~ F/14 ~ No Flashlights ~ Lighting Was What Was In The Room

I thought that was a hand in the background, I wonder if the composition would work better if the hand were less recognizable?

my blog where I got the image from has gone west. I have no idea why. Perhaps that is the reason you can't see it? I will try reposting tomorrow.

I think your first image was better, it just needed more space around jar.

The jar is not simple and the background is not busy. You should get some rest.

I did not crop the first image. It was restricted in width by the setup. So I set it up this way and got greater width and more colour.
