Good News
Louie is an 18-week old puppy who lost the use of his rear legs. He was turned to to a vet for euthhanization but, the vet asked the owner for permission to contact a rescue group...
We picked up Louie from the vet and sent him to the Los Angeles portion of our rescue group where we have access to a good neurosurgeon.
Louie's MRI was negative and didn't show any spinal damage. A spinal tap was also negative. The vet said that an encouraging sign was that he seemed to have feelings in his rear areas.
Anyway, we just got news from Louie's foster mom that he has taken his first few steps and seems on his way to recovery. One more pup saved
