    When night comes

Okay so this is way below the usual standard of excellence posted on this site by others. But I it caught my eye, not because of is eye catching appeal, but for its basic simplicity. Please feel free to get stuck in with the cc's. I accept that I am still a long way down on my learning curve with a long steep climb ahead of me.

Ken, I'm sure that there are lots of people who would see what they consider to be opportunities for improvement but I like it. To me it does have an eye-catching appeal precisely because of its simplicity.

I like it. Is it a giant sheep or really tiny kangaroos is my only question.

The only thing I would change, Ken, is to lose about half of that dark foreground.

+1 to Geoff's suggestion. While you have not lost shadow detail there, you do have a fairly large and uninteresting "mass" just sitting there.

Another alternative would be to raise the shadow detail. There is a lot data in the image (even as a JPEG), that could be brought out in post. I suspect it was not nearly as dark as this image shows when you took it.
