Well, we got a phone call from the volunteer who was fostering Louie that he had started walking. Louie can now stand and walk around...
He still needs to gain some strength in his legs so we transferred Louie to another foster who is a retired nurse (as is my spouse) and who lives near where Louie can get physical therapy to build up that strength. I picked Louie up from our Los Angeles volunteer brought him home for a few very quick pictures and then delivered hi to his new foster who will be responsible for his physical therapy. Louie is ready with his vest for some therapeutic aqua therapy.
He has already progressed further than we could have hoped but, expectations are that after the aqua therapy, he will gain more strength and mobility. Its happenings like this that make rescue work enjoyable...
