    Storm Bay

I shot this from across the other side of the bay, 200m or more away. Why didn't I zoom in closer? That's question I have been asking myself.

Zooming in depends on your intent, was this a particular study of waves, were you looking for a particular frozen moment?

John, I meant that if I had zoomed in I would have filled more of the frame with the subject - as shown - and have sharper detail in the background. I have cropped a lot from this frame.

Ah, so you mean zoomed so this was what you captured, not what you know you did, but we haven't seen?

Because I was gonna say, I like the composition with the chap staring down from the rocks opposite you - and wouldn't suggest much, if any, further zooming/cropping changes.

    I like it,

Thanks, Dave. It's one of the rare instances where I can see a spiral in the composition - or most of one.
