The nude in profile - Stephanie Katharine

When nudes are shot, the images are taken with the subject taken from the front or slightly from the side. Profile shots are much less common. As I am just learning and exploring the genre, I will usually get the model to pose in profile. This tends to confuse them a bit because they are rarely asked to pose this way.

Here are two profile shots that I took last week when I shot Stephanie.

I know I've been complaining about hotspots. I cannot see any here. Why not.

Actually, they are still there, you are just not looking closely enough. If I zoom right into her face, you can see them.

That being said, they are not as "hot" because the areas where we traditionally get hot spots; the nose, chin and forehead are just a little further from the lights. These areas of the face are secret more oils and are not as visible in profile.

Nicely said, all kinds of reasons, but then, I don't have as much of an issue with the hot spots as you do. They are just areas of brightness.

Nicely done, sometimes silhouettes are shot in profile so it shouldn't be that odd of a request, I think the confusion might come from a model who believes a certain part of their anatomy or face is their money maker and you're ignoring it.

I cannot help to think of the pain and suffering as well as the monetary expense that this body-art cost Stephanie Katharine. I also cannot help but think, after viewing some of my old shipmate friends with faded tattoos no longer exhibiting clean lines, what her "body-art" will eventually look like in twenty years or so

I agree Richard. I understand that there is a booming business to repair these "youthful indiscretions" in the cosmetic surgery world. I understand the cost to remove these tattoos is much higher than having them done in the first place and involves multiple sessions with a cosmetic surgeon and specialized lasers that destroy the ink.
