Yellow and blue
This was taken in 1989 at a large sporting goods/ outdoor store here in Toronto.
While my wife was inside the store, I noticed a man wearing a bright yellow shirt standing against a blue tiled wall.
We commiserated about having to wait while our wives shopped, and he was kind enough to let me take a casual portrait.

Re: Yellow and blue
Splendid shot especially with that yellow vs blue. A very high color contrast because they are "opposite" for example in the additive color wheel (60 deg v 240 deg) or the CIELAB color model (b* axis) and because in terms of luminosity blue is very dark as opposed to red+green (i.e. yellow).

Re: Yellow and blue
Good use of complementary colours in this shot Robert. Wow is that shirt ever bright! Almost time to pull out the sunglasses.

Re: Yellow and blue
Ted /Manfred,
Thanks for the kind comments.
I loved this scene as soon as I spotted it, and knew even before I got the slide back that it was going to be striking because of the colour contrast.
