Variation on a theme is always a good learning tool. This time using the in-camera settings, I left the Shooting Star properly exposed and darkened the background. Previously the Shooting Star was set against a leafy forestry background. M'Lady prefers the former over the latter. I on the other hand, prefer the latter over the former. You make up your own mind.

M'Lady has a good taste. You changed your subject.

You didn't try the flash? If you reduce the ambient light using a lower shutter speed and use a fill flash, low power, you would get something like this. Darker back ground and lighter foreground.

Time and impermanence changed the shot but it is the same subject. I was at 0.5s shutter speed. With the up and down breeze any slower and blur became a real possibility. And if you posted a shot it didn't show up

A tad bit less detail in this one compared to the original and sadly missing the dew drops, I think those added elements made the original stand out more.

A tad less. And no drops. I did take some less extreme shots but still without the previous drops. Part of my problem is that many here have problems with my backgrounds. Finding them too busy. I think of them as complex. Perhaps after how many years and shots it's time to trust m y own feelings?
