Great horned owl chick
Athena, a great horned owl, for nine straight years has laid her eggs and raised chicks in a nest in a planter above the entry to the courtyard at the LBJ Wildflower Center, Austin, Texas. This year, she had two. The elder fledged earlier this week. The photo is of the younger one, taken yesterday. It may have fledged last night. Crowds of people going directly under the nest don't bother the owls at all. In fact, it is a big yawn:

Re: Great horned owl chick
Nice effort, just need to tone down some of that glassy eye highlight, makes the bird look blind.

Thanks for the comments. Here's an effort to cut the glare (I'm not the world's greatest at Photoshop!):

Re: Great horned owl chick
Thanks Geoff. Here's a head-on shot I took a few moments later, with the EF 400mm f/5.6L wide open and focused on one of the eyes:

Fuzzy little guy. The second shot with those eyes visible is excellent. Nicely done.
