    A few weeks ago I went back to a local site that has preserved Boston's old pump house as a museum. Occasionally they let photographers in at night, when the illumination is just a modest number of lights. C&C welcome, of course. Best in lyet(light?)box

    Interesting image Dan. One can almost smell the old grease and steam here. The colours are interesting too. I expect that being a pumping station, then a lot of the equipment would have been made of brass; hence the yellow colour everywhere. It must have been a bit dangerous to have worked there; a lot or exposed, moving parts without protective guards installed.

    Regardless, great shot and thanks for posting it! A flash back into history.

    When I saw the title of the picture I expected to see a very sombre black and white image. This is quite different and I like it a lot.
