    Blinds II

    Another shot where blinds have been used as a GoBo to modify the light falling on the model. This time I've left the blinds in the shot.

    Interesting comment Richard, because I had a similar thought. The first time I encountered this technique was a number of years back when I was taking a single camera video course and we used a similar effect in video work. That time we cheated and used a cardboard cutout as our gobo. The effect was similar but a bit less refined and of course, the gobo was definitely not included in the shot.

    A number of years later, it was fun to replicate this in a photo studio, rather than in a motion picture studio.

    Indeed. Very film noir.

    Never done this sort of stuff. Would like to try it.
