I spent the afternoon shooting Montreal based model Minh-Ly at a pole dancing studio where she worked with aerial silks.

Just to add some context; this is the shooting location with Minh-Ly setting up the silks for the shoot. The other photographers are either milling around or setting up their equipment.

There is a grace and delicacy to the first two photos that I rather like, but the third in my opinion misses the mark. It reminds me of a fly trapped in a spider's web. The model seems to be flailing around inside the silk as if she lost her balance and fell inside it. The shot has the feel of an out take that no one was supposed to see.

Thanks Robert - we were trying a number of different things and effectively shot 5 or 6 different styles of poses. The first two images came from one set, whereas the third one came from another. As a series it does not fit as well so perhaps I should have included a different shot that was more in character with the first two and posted a separate series where the "cocoon" was the theme.
