Helpful Posts: My wife and I were walking around Lake Beauvert in Jasper National Park. Unbeknownst to either of us until a bit later we both took the same picture. I with my expensive gear and she with her phone. I was behind her, taking pictures of other things and did not see her stop at the opening in the trees . She accuses me of stealing her idea. I told her: good artists borrow, great artists steal.
Called a Still Death, not really a still life is it.

I've never quite understood why there are so many "still life" paintings from over the centuries that feature cut flowers (therefore dying) and dead game (usually birds or rabbits).
At least you are being 100% up front with your title.

I had exactly the same thought over the years. Seems a bit off really. Probably a marketing ploy. Who would want to buy something called "Study of Dead Things stuck in a Pot on the Table"?

I like this image, Trevor. I like the lines and textures. I think you need to clean up the right side of the frame though - the twig on the edge could be cloned out, and the rock emerging from the water could be cloned over. The little white strip at the bottom of frame could be covered too.
