    I think the most prominent stem is oof which is a bit disturbing; this could have been very nice if focusing were a bit more sharp

    It is an interesting composition, the stark background does compliment the grass but the colorful background elements are a bit harsh. Nice effort.

    I love the dark BG which isolates the seed heads. And the use of DOF to further separate a few of the heads from the crowd without completely eliminating the OOF elements. However, I agree with Nandakumar in that the on large OOF seed head is placed in the frame so as to interfere/compete with the in focus elements. Slightly re-positioning for the shot might have resulted in an improved image.

    That said, this is a good effort. I've tried similar shots and it it much more difficult than it seems.
