Yes, they are like children. And when you don't respond, say with the required corn, they stand there and stamp their little feet. I used to have a herd of 17-18 of them in my former backyard.
Loved it 'cuz they were always so accommodating photo-wise!
Thanks for sharing.

Re: Young whitetail buck
Thanks, Zen. Sometimes, if I get up before sunrise, open the garage door and pick up the paper, several will wander up and stand there until I come back with treats. The bolder ones will take a corn tortilla out of my hand. I know we're not supposed to do this, but at my age (I'll be 80 in November), I really don't care what people think. After all, the whitetails were here long before our area was developed.

Cute shot, Tom. Are the adults friendly too or just the young ones?

Thanks, Greg, Ole and Kay. Greg, the adults are more friendly. But the young ones are bullied by them. In order for the young bucks to get any, I had to toss tortillas in every direction.

Oh my goodness. Look at those big eyes and soft nose. Really well captured detail. And I like your choice of composition/crop with the eyes just off center enough to gaze into the frame. A bit of vignette might help reduce some of the highlights in the messy BG. Overall nicely done.

Yes, I understand completely. I'm 81 and used to feed them cracked corn. Would go through #50 in 3-4 weeks, With some frequency, they would bed down under our pines.
Beautiful creatures. Had 3 fawns born in our yard 2 yrs ago . . .
