Fire Hydrant in the wild
In my car today and drove past a Fire Hydrant on overgrown city property, and it reminded me of some of my Photobuds' Nature shots of animals partially hidden in the tall grass on the African Savannah.
So I drove back, parked the car and took this shot.

Re: Fire Hydrant in the wild
As much as I like many of your images, this one doesn't evoke much of a response from me. It just looks like a pile of grass, with a blurry foreground. Sorry

I had the same reaction as Sharon. Most your images have an obvious and interesting central point of interest. This one doesn't, at least to my eyes.

Sharon/ Dan,
Thanks for commenting.
I shot this at 2.8 deliberately to shallow up the depth of field and draw the viewer's eye to the subject. This is a spoof on my buds nature photos. I'm sorry you didn't get the joke.
