    A bit of work needed

I have been photographing this barn for the past five or so years. I suspect I may have it as a subject for one or two more years. Getting fairly precarious.

Initially the owner had internally cross braced it with some tensioned cables to avoid the side walls caving in (not sure of the engineering thought process) This led to the end walls collapsing instead. And scared the living hell out of me at the thought of ever going inside to shoot.

Gee, that really is a twisted structure, Trevor. Have you considered getting in closer and photographing it in more detail? For example, the distorted roof line must offer some interesting compositions.

Nicely seen and captured, it appears this subject is near the end of its shelf life.

One good snow fall may indeed do it in. But until then, and perhaps even after you are getting some very nice shots;.

But, as Dave would say there is always a but: Would you consider cloning out the small triangular section of roof that is at 3 O'clock?

This is great; how about posting all those images in chronology as a story of play of time?

I have shots from different angles and some detail shots. Overall I prefer this composition due to the dramatic collapse shape. I like the detail of the weathered wood; just not the same impact.

Good point Missed that bit of the adjoining barn. I will correct it immediately Thanks

I agree one more snow load may do it in completely. Could still be interesting depending on the how it collapses

Good idea I will pursue this. May be a bit until I can get around to it

Here in Scotland we have 'Maggie's centres bult on that design ..for cancer sufferers and their families.

All unique, all as individual as we are

    and as beautiful.

    Lovely shot Trevor. x

Just amazing that it still "stands" - anyhow, a wonderful photograph.

Hopefully the cancer centres are a bit more stable than this structure
