Helpful Posts: I was taking pictures of one of my grandkids at a small publicly farm park a few days ago--we went there to feed goats and sheep, among other things--but I was stopped as we left by this very peaceful pond. I'm not sure the image is worth much, but C&C certainly welcome.

It's quite a relaxing scene, Dan. I think the reflection is the element that holds the viewer's interest. I would crop down from the top frame to the shore line, and then invert the image, making it impressionistic with a bit of surrealism thrown in.

Calm and tranquil are the operative terms for this image. I think that it is lovely and could easily see it as a book cover for a book like Walden Pond by Thoreau...

Works OK for me.
Possibly the left side is rather bright and causes more of a distraction than adding anything to the scene. So maybe I would try a slight crop of the left side and go to a different size ratio?

Thanks, all. Coincidentally, this isn't far from Walden Pond. Geoff: good point. I was working on an overly bright area in the lower right, and I missed this. I think my preference would be to burn it a bit rather than changing the framing. In any case, I'll try it.

A delight, to the extent that I'm reluctant to comment, but ... I like it as it is! Don't even think about doing anything "fancy" unless it is done in addition to and not instead of, and I certainly wouldn't crop at all - the triangle of water plants at the bottom right works well.
