    There is some nice detail in the petals, Brian. Overall this shot seems a bit flat though and the bright background is distracting. It wouldn't be difficult to tone that down with a layer mask and then increase the contrast to breather a bit of life into the flower.

    I think if you could include the end of the downward petal within the frame, it would have been stronger

    Very good, Brian. You may also select the area at the left bottom corner below the petal and darken it to mach the darkness around so that flower is completely distinct from the back ground
