How to carry two cameras simultaneously?
For taking photos of birds, I prefer to use my DSLR camera (a Nikon D5300), however sometimes the bird isn't moving (but a little far for my Nikkor 18-300 lens), the light condition is good and my superzoom camera (a SX50 HS with a 24-1200mm FFE lens) would be the best option to take a photo.
Is there a suitable accessory to carry the two cameras simultaneously?
Cheers,
Antonio

Re: How to carry two cameras simultaneously?
Antonio... There are several alternatives... The nice thing about your combination is that the SX50 HS is a really lightweight camera...
1. For your Nikon and the SX50 HS, I would suggest that you look into the Optech Dual Harness:
https://optechusa.com/dual-harness.html
2. Even better for your use would be the discontinued Optech Photojournalist strap but, I can't find one - even on eBay. The Photojournalist strap allowed you to carry the two cameras - one lower than the other on a neck strap. This strap was discontinued because the weight of a pair of DSLR cameras is just too heavy to carry around your neck. However, the SX50 HS and your Nikon would not weigh that much.
3. Black Rapid has a dual camera rig but, although I have a one-camera Black Rapid strap. I have never used the two camera rig. Possibly using a Black Rapid Single Camera Strap on your SX50-HS and carrying the Nikon around your neck might work. eBay has several Chinese knock-offs of the Black Rapid straps. I would think that one of these might be perfectly adequate for the little SX50-HS...
3. IMO the Cotton Carrier type of rig might be overkill for your cameras and I think would be uncomfortable in your relatively hot climate. However, the cotton carrier side holster might be viable. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cotton-Carr...sAAOSwySlaLU0X
You could have the Nikon around your neck and the SX50 HS on your belt...
BTW: I am quite comfortable carrying 2 Canon DSLR cameras in this fashion:
I carry a holster case slung bandolier style under my left arm with the strap over my right shoulder and slung across my chest. I have a DSLR with a telephoto lens and a hand strap attached in this holster case. I have the second DSLR with a mid-range zoom on a Neoprene neck strap. The neck strap is over the strap for the holster case but, they never tangle.
I use an older Tamrac Zoom 19 Holster Case which fits my 6D2 with 70-200mm f/4L IS lens just fine. You could, of course, use a smaller case and you would probably not need a handstrap for that camera... This type of case might fit your SX50 HS just fine: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Focus-Holst...sAAOSwK~RaCani

Re: How to carry two cameras simultaneously?
Richard,
I liked your suggestions.
My two cameras are not heavy (D5300 + 18-300 f/3.5-6.3 = 38 oz; SX50 HS = 21 oz), but it's not comfortable and convenient to carry both directly around my neck.
I think your first suggestion (OP/TECH USA Dual Harness) will be the best choice for me.
Thank you!
Antonio.

Antonio - another source you might want to look at is BlackRapid. They are well know camera strap maker.
This design might be worth considering:

Re: How to carry two cameras simultaneously?
I don't generally carry two cameras, but I want to add a plug for exploring the Op-Tech option. The make a large array of different straps, and most if not all connect via plastic connectors to two short straps connected to the camera. It's trivially easy to detach or switch one of their straps. I use one of their neck straps but often take it off when I am working on a tripod or when I want to use one of their hand straps, which connects to the same connector. Very handy.

Re: How to carry two cameras simultaneously?
Antonio, the Optech Dual Harness can be found less expensively on eBay than any other place...
There are also two sizes for the Optech Dual Harness. I am a tall guy (6 '1" ~ 185.4 cm.) and the "TALL" size Optech Dual Harness is really too long for me! I guess you must REALLY be tall to need the "TALL" size
Here is another tip, for what it is worth. One problem with the Dual Harness is that the cameras can swing around a bit at the end of the straps, especially when you was traveling fast or climbing steps, etc. To prevent the cameras swinging I attach a small lightweight carbiner (the type used on key chains not the stainless steel mountain climbing variety) to a belt loop on each side of my trousers or the side adjustment straps of my photo vest and clip the carbiners to the Dual Harness Straps.

Re: How to carry two cameras simultaneously?
Richard,
Thanks for the tips!
I'm not a tall guy and the "REGULAR" size will be the best for me.
Cheers!
Antonio.
