Another NEW Insect

As the first drops began to fall I spotted this rare (in our garden) insect. I rushed my set-up and snapped a few shots before scurrying for the house. Which is why the focus is off, just that little bit.

Now that you mention it... that is part of the focus problem. I focused on the wrong end

I think your photo is of a member of the Orthoptera Order, Acrididea Family, and is a relative of grasshoppers. Note the large, grasshopper-like, rear "hopping leg" visible from about mid-thorax to near the distal end of the specimen's abdomen.
