YouTube Food Photography
There have been in the past, many posts regarding food photography techniques.
I have recently come across this series of YouTube videos on that subject. Joannie Simon gives some tips on all aspects of food photography and, although I am not a food photographer, I enjoy the way she presents her videos.
This specific video concerns the preparation and styling of food for photography and you can link through it to other of her YouTube presentations...

In her video on backgrounds, I found a company that sells vinyl photo backgrounds and faux floors. I once bought a trial vinyl background from eBay and it was mailed to me folded in a package. Try as I might, I could never get rid of the creases that resulted from folding the material. This company ships the backgrounds rolled in a tube which should solve the creasing problem. The backgrounds are a bit more expensive than the eBay versions but with the: buy three and get one free plus the initial 15% off, the backgrounds should not be too expensive. Especially in smaller sizes which I would use. I plan to buy some for my dog photography.

Re: YouTube Food Photography
Nice video, I like to do food photography but I'm usually inspired by meals I've prepared, so I don't like to add artificial effects to something I'm going to eat but would be willing to do so to someone else's. :rolleyes
