Development Disease
VOTING REF: V26
In this small UK south coast town we are getting far too many 'developers' knocking down lovely Victorian and Edwardian houses with fine gardens then constructing square blocks of flats for sale as second homes.
And in the current economic climate some of them are running short of cash so sites are being left as unfinished eyesores.

All entrants are encouraged to vote (but not for themselves )
Thanks to everyone that entered and good luck,
Let voting commence ..............!

Re: Voting Open
There's now less than 48 hours to go until polling closes in this exciting Themed Challenge. So, if you haven't voted yet, read how to do so in the post above and send me a PM.
I'm covering for Dave this month and it is really great to see the votes coming in. We should have a live CCTV link to my spreadsheet so you could all watch as the situation changes. First the votes seem to be going one way. Then they swing another way. It's so close and the votes are spread across all the pictures. It's exciting.

Re: The results
Congratulations Rob, Donald and Antonio. All great shots. Rob I like yours because it is a good shot, but completley represents Industrial Disease. It's not pretty and certainly not the kind of thing we usually want to take pictures of, but it is reallity and a well composed shot says more than words.
Donald, I love your shot, but (and I've said this before) like all of your work, you seem to make everything look so nice - so although I love the shot and it does represent the topic, it doesn't look sick or ominous enough somehow (to me).
Antonio, I like your shot because it can be intreperted as we wish, and seeing as you posted it in Industrial Disease our mind is lead in that direction and then it's up to us.
I think there were a lot of good entries here. Kay, you really hit home with your first one - I was hoping that someone would touch on the disease of unemployment. I wanted to go that route, but with people - another one of those shots in my head that will never get taken. I also wanted to hit on some politcal industrial diseases but couldn't even come up with a pictorial representation, let alone get the shot.
I'm babbling again though, I just wanted to say congrats to the winners, and great entries everyone.
Wendy
