Boats and sky

I took this picture on a cold and windy Melbourne late afternoon. I cropped the waves a bit because I did not want them to compete with the beautiful sky. C&C most welcome.

Kind of wish you would straighten out the horizon line so it doesn't look like it's the end of the earth and thievery is washing off the edge. Also, as per your title, more boats and perhaps a tad less sky.

(Every time I see that Melbourne skyline I think of prehistoric monsters.)

It looks straight to me. I recon it is an optical illusion.

The water edge is at an angle, but the buildings and cranes look like they are vertical. And, neither the water edge nor the skyline coincide with a "real" horizon...

Remco, I cannot find any 'real' horizon because what you see on the left hand side is a sea wall not water. there is a curvature to the whole scene. The auto feature in Lightroom was my best option and it looks like it is lopsided but I don't think it is.

I am pretty certain that Remco also concludes it is level and people are being fooled into thinking it is not level but if you could see a real(true) horizon it would in fact look level.

I do so beg to differ. Look at my guiding lines both horizontal and vertical and you will see the horizon line is running downhill from right to left whereas my correction shows it level and I used the seawall at both ends for guidance.
