    Ruby among the red yuccas

    I used a 25mm extension tube to enable the EF 400mm f/5.6L to focus as close as 6 feet (natively, it only focuses down to 11.5 feet):

    Thanks, Greg. Hummers are, indeed, fascinating - and frustrating to photograph when shooting them in the wild, as I prefer to try to do. I couldn't afford the wastage if I were using film.
