    Corning Museum of Glass

I just got back from attending a wedding just outside of New York City and on the drive home, we took a short detour to Corning, New York where the Corning Museum of Glass is located. We spent almost 4 hours there and will have to go back because that was not nearly enough time to take everything in.

I find that museums are a great place to photograph, so long as one manages to hide the other people wandering around looking at the exhibits as well as isolating the shot from the other pieces on display. I've just started to go through my shots. This is the first one I've finished retouching.

Wow. Great subject Manfred. This image has to be viewed in Lytebox to appreciate the textures in the glass.

Thanks for sharing, I look forward to more.

Fascinating exhibits. Are these by individual artists? If so, should you be crediting them, Manfred?

Yes they are, but as these are for my personal collection, there is no need to provide credit. If I were doing something more commercial with the images, I would definitely do so.
