Framed
Oak twigs seemed to make a natural frame for this ruby-throated hummer. 70D+EF 400mm f/5.6L:

Re: Framed
I have two suggestions but it is only a matter of what I like, not necessarily something that had to be done. <grin> I'd get rid of the green leaf on the top right and probably crop a bit off the bottom of the pic. After the crop, you'd still have your oak twig frame around her. Just my two cents worth! It is a great picture!
Hummingbirds are such neat creatures. You have this one with her tongue extended too! Wow!

Re: Framed
My thoughts are exactly the same as Sandy. Lose that leaf from the top right corner and crop out that little bit of horizontal twig in the bottom right corner. Otherwise, an excellent shot.
I might be tempted to clone out those out of focus twigs in the top left corner, but they don't really cause any serious problems.

Re: Framed
Beautiful texture to the feathers and look at that tongue in action... very sweet capture

Thanks, Geoff for the kind words and the suggestion. I may do that. And thanks, Trace, for your nice comment.
