    Blood moon and Mars

Here, in Brazil, we saw the end of the eclipse and we had just a few minutes to see it and take photos. I know that my photos are not so good as Trace's pictures and Dave's pictures, but that was what I could do with my photographic gear (Canon SX50 HS; exposure mode manual; focus manual).
    Cheers,
    Antonio.

Nothing wrong with these shots Antonio, they look fine to me. You've done well to achieve what you have given the limited time available. My understanding is that many parts of the Americas didn't get an opportunity at all.

I had the opposite situation to you, only saw the first half. By then, the sky was getting too bright with daylight peeping over the horizon.

    Dave
Thanks for commenting on my photos.
I had planned to do a good preparation to take the photos, but at 4 PM, I had to go out to help my wife and we came back when the eclipse was beginning. I gave up using my best tripod (because it would take longer to mount it) and I preferred to use an 80's tripod (very sturdy) with my Nikon D5300 and a cheap (but very quick to install) tripod with my Canon SX50 .
To my surprise, the photos taken with the SX50 were better than those of the D5300 (I'm investigating why this happened).
    Cheers,
    Antonio.
