Upper Canada Village - Part 2

Here are three more shots that I took yesterday at Upper Canada Village.

    1. The Carpenter's Shop

Upper Canada Village - Part 2

    2. Shop Keeper - General Store

Upper Canada Village - Part 2

    3. Tenant Farmer's Wife Baking a Cake

Upper Canada Village - Part 2

All three of these are natural light augmented by bounced fill flash.

I shot the same carpenter last year, but the shot was much wider and more about the shot than about the person. The colours and tone were inspired by Ottawa photographer Ray Pilon, who was Director of Photography for Lee Valley Tools for many years. He used the rich warm look in his work in producing images for the woodworking tool catalogues back in the 1990s and early 2000s. He taught me studio lighting.

Manfred, on shot #1, half the pic is grayed out. Now, it is not.

Nothing is greyed out, so it is likely an issue with how CiC or you system calls up the image I have posted on Flickr.

These issues tend to be intermittent and usually resolve themselves quite quickly.

I love this series. i think #1 is my favorite. His concentration on his work is very well captured.
