I used a recently acquired used Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 lens on my 6D2 with a Swivi viewing attachment so I could take advantage of the great live view of this camera. I also used my, not quite finished Golf/Photo cart (which is a cart for photo shoots modified from a push golf cart - I should have it completely finished in a week or so. I just wanted to try it out before devoting anymore work on it) and it was great for my old cranky muscles and bones. I also used a Streaklight (AKA Godox) 360TTL on a stand fired with a Godox XPro trigger along with the Godox S7 Mini beauty dish/octabox.
It was really a learning experience. I don't usually try more than one new piece of gear at a time but this was fun.
Lynn was a very cooperative model. The goggles are part of her steampunk persona. I wish that I had a gel with me to balance out the light from the setting sun...
This one was a test shot for exposure but I did like her expression
I also used my 27-70mm f/2.8 Tokina ATX Pro lens. This was done at 70mm wide open - she was in her steampunk role...
These three are her favorite images of the outing...
These were done with single point live view focus. I had planned on testing the face detect capability to see if it will focus on the eyes as well as the slower but very accurate single focus point system. However, I got involved and forgot about my plans for face detect. Getting old, you know! If I take a coffee break, I need to be retrained
