Wonderful dog and capture... Ideally, you could see a bit more of the dog's face but, you can't say "Hold it Fido, turn a bit this way please" However the timing of the capture was great as was the focus and general quality of the image...

Here's a pre-catch shot for Richard that shows more face. The problem with shooting Cisco is he is very, very, very fast with a catch accuracy of about 99.999 % thus catching him with a mostly neutral BG a nearly impossible task.

    Beautiful.

Hopefully he'll be around for a long time, but once he's gone these will provide great memories. My pics of Garry (also a collie) chasing, leaping, getting ready to catch, are very dear to me.

Would this be cheating...??? I know that Cisco would have had his jaws open for the catch by now but, this eliminates some uninteresting grass...

    Great photo of Cisco Chris.
I do have one suggestion for you. Shoot sitting on the ground if you can, it gives the photo a much better perspective. I have a Jack Russel Terrier and shoot a lot of her chasing a ball. Here's one of her leaping for the ball...
