    Duck on Mud Lake

I don't know what kind duck that is except that judging by its coloring it probably is a female. The appendage "growing" out of its chest is actually the leg of another turtle soaking in some rays on the other side of the duck.

    C & C always welcomed.

I would crop the foreground. Having a turtle there may be a nice idea but it is far too out of focus to add anything except distraction. Otherwise this scene works OK for me.

I agree, some off the bottom and some from the right gives you a slightly tighter crop for a nice capture.

Thanks John, I'll give that a try.

Perhaps try a different perspective, Andre: crop left side to close behind both the duck and turtle, and a similar crop off the right side, [but leaving enough space so that the duck is still looking forward into the scene]- to make the image a vertical format- kind of like a "brothers of the lake" shot.

    Thanks for sharing.

A fresh perspective works well. The out of focus turtle is still a problem though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like it.
