    Jupiter-37A 135mm f/ 3.5 M42 Screw Mount Lens Help

Hi, Purchased the lens in the title and very happy with it (even came with instrutions in RUSSIAN) however I also have the Helios-44m 58mm f./ 2 Helios 44m M42 Lens and both work fine except that on the Jupiter as can be seen in the image attached there is distance scale but when I screw the lens into the addaptor for Canon the scale sits slightly off to the side rather than straight in front of the cameras lens body so have to look a slight angle to see the scale, not a deal breaker but if anyone else out there uses this lens what M42 adapter do you use please? Many Thanks, Russ.

I use Novoflex adaptors for my Leica R mount and Nikon F mount to Micro Four-Thirds. Expensive, but first rate build quality.

You might want to look at something less expensive. The cheap Chinese units found on eBay run at about 1% of the cost of a Novoflex adapter (range of around $ 1 - $2 versus $100 - $200).

What the adapter do is correct the lens to sensor distance between the two systems, so the offset you are seeing is going to occur unless the manufacturer has taken the time to thread the adapter to line up properly. There will be no difference in lens performance.

Thankyou for your reply. As I say It is not a deal breaker and can live with it. I got the cheap adapter when I purchased the 44M and it was FREE so has to be the cheap of cheap. Thanks again, Russ
